If you want to clone the video and sound over hdmi you will have to split a single connection to the card.
No, the sound uses PCIe connector with the audio passthrough, no case internal cabling needed. If you just get an hdmi splitter cable you take a risk, hc4870 first one only transmitted 2 channel audio some how.
