That said, if you want an official Dell driver, which might be ideal since the ALPS driver described above sometimes renders the trackpad unresponsive after resuming from Standby, you’ll have to deal with their pretty, but rather sticipointer limited in some senses GUI.

Unfortunately, while maintaining the same installer mechanism as Synaptics trackpads, ALPS trackpads do not support multi-touch, and generally have fewer features than Synaptics trackpads.
Note that the “disable trackpad while typing” option is not user-accessible in this driver, but it is permanently on, which I think is ideal. Posted August 21, edited. How common is it?
During setup, the program creates a stickpionter registration point in Windows in order to automatically start when any user boots the PC.
This seems to be ideal for external mice, although for my Logitech mice, I do use SetPoint and don’t have SetPoint set to override the Windows Mouse settings.

The Dell GUI supports zoom along the left side of the trackpad and circular scrolling. Toshiba The latest drivers I’ve found are available on Toshiba’s website. The problem with the sgickpointer dell touchpad drivers is that they’ve incorporated their god-awful GUI and seem to have eliminated tap zones. Please note that this version does not have frozen cursor animations.
I dont want to use Dell’s one, I am woring on E I also like that you can disable tapping on the TouchStick while typing.
